National Women's Knock Out Cup. Semi-Final Three Kings V Marist Wellington. |
|
The Marist Women's Central League team have made it through to the semi-final of the National Knock-out Cup and are hosting Auckland's Three Kings United at our home ground Kilbirnie Park this Sunday at 1pm. This is one of, if not the biggest Women’s competition game ever played in Wellington and is an important game for our club. It would be great to see as many club members as possible come support our Women’s Central League Team this Sunday.
For those that are interested in seeing quality women's football this is an event not to be missed. Three Kings United has 8 players in the NZ under 20 team not to mention other members of their squad who have been New Zealand representatives.
So do Marist have what it takes to take on these big guns? Most definitely!!
Our Marist Central League Women’s team have won the Wellington competition this year for the second year in a row!. Marist attacking force includes former NZ rep Ella Wiebe, Alice Ireton (2 years in row has won `Golden Boot’) and a woman that simply goes by the name of "The German" (Tania Grunwald). Between these 3 there is sure to be enough goals to keep the spectators happy. With a solid midfield who aren't shy of having a go at goal themselves and a defensive pack who are a force to be reckoned with Marist are strong, hard and full of heart.
So come support our top Women’s team on Sunday.
There will be drinks and food available to go with some fantastic football. So wear GREEN and support the Team! |
